PSG 0-1 Dortmund: Fullkrug gives German side advantage

Mbappe's Champions League career could be over if last 16 tie is not turned around

Borussia Dortmund took a narrow 1-0 lead in their Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night.

Only a stunning sequence of saves from Keylor Navas kept PSG in the tie after Niclas Fullkrug fired Dortmund ahead after 14 minutes.

Fullkrug collected inside the area and, after a wonderful touch to create space, lashed home into the roof of the net.

The goal represents yet another setback to PSG's hopes of landing the trophy for the first time.

It looked as though the French champions would once again dominate the group stages but they missed out once again, finishing behind Liverpool and Napoli.

The performance of Mbappe was particularly disappointing, with the Frenchman failing to trouble the Dortmund defence.

The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer and this could be his last Champions League appearance for the club.

PSG will need to score at least twice in the second leg in Dortmund on March 19 to progress.
